Until June 2014 "Public Management Outlook" was a publication of the IGPDE relating to management and the public action with an international point of view.

The 40th edition of  " Public Management Oulook " is  titled "Prevention of psychosocial risks: a long-haul task", which is also available in French under the name “Perspectives Gestions Publiques”. In public services, as in private enterprises, the intensification of work, the claims of citizens have increased the rate of psychosocial risks : stress, violences, professional burnouts... In many countries, the authorities take initiatives to fight and prevent them.

In many countries, the reduction of "red tape" remains indeed an essential driver to make life easier for users and citizens, attempt to restore jobs dans bring a little oxygen to companies. The present issue gives several examples.

PMO n°38 - Generation Y and Public Management: Issues and Implications

"Generation Y" is a concept that needs to be handled with caution, but which can prove useful at a time when new technologies and social media are literally booming. Administrations need to find ways of attracting, hiring, motivating and managing this new generation.
